Electronics distributor Richardson RFPD Inc. in Geneva, Ill., is announced the availability and design support capabilities for the MADL-011012 RF and microwave power limiter from MACOM Technology Solutions Inc. in Lowell, Mass., for military and aerospace high-peak and CW power receiver-protector microwave circuit applications.

The MADL-011012 is a lead-free surface-mount high-power limiter with an operating frequency range from 0.3 GHz to 1.0 GHz. It integrates the equivalent of 20 PIN, Schottky, limiter diodes, capacitors, inductors and resistors in a compact ceramic package.

The device functions without DC bias and features insertion loss of 0.2 dB and return loss of 25 dB at 400 to 500 MHz. It provides 360 Watts power handling at 25 degrees Celsius and flat leakage power of +20 dBm.

The MADL-011012 is for aerospace and defense applications, handheld communications, and radar. Additional features include +55.6 dBm CW power handling at +25 C; +54 dBm CW power handling at +85 C; RoHS-compliance; and a hermetically sealed 10.1-by-6.2-by-3.2-cubic-millimeter package.
