There seems to be no stopping the companies eyeing the Aerospace Defence Market in South East Asia. After Turkish Aerospace Industries, Honeywell Aerospace is targeting growth in Southeast Asia over the next couple of years by expanding its presence through partnerships with local companies, a company executive said on 7 November.
Speaking at the Defence & Security 2017 exhibition in Bangkok, Ron Lopez, Honeywell Aerospace’s senior director for defence sales in the Asia-Pacific, said the company is looking to build its profile in the region to match the significant presence it already has in northeast Asian markets such as Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. “(Southeast Asia) is a dynamic, exciting market for us,” he said.
Lopez explained that to provide the foundation for regional growth Honeywell has invested in the past two years in expanding its regional sales employees, who work from company offices in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
